2011 Great Lent & Holy Week Schedule
A schedule of services prayed at St. Anna Parish for Great Lent and Holy Week.
Lenten 40 Days for Life begins on March 8
This peaceful, prayerful ministry joins Orthodox, Protestants, and Catholics in praying for an end to abortion, and has seen many lives saved in cities across the country. We will hold a vigil at the public sidewalk in front of one of our busiest local abortion businesses at 1750 Wright Street, near the corner of Wright Street and Alta Arden. Christians will be praying there and offering women assistance, Monday-Saturday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, from March 9th to April 17th. Please call Wynette Sillls at 916-955-1577 and see our website http://www.40daysforlife.com/sacramento for more information! Even if you can’t join us at the vigil during the busy season of Lent, we encourage you to sign up for daily email devotionals and pray with us at home. Visit http://www.40daysforlife.com to sign up under the title “Get the Latest.”

The 68 Anniversary of the Four Chaplains Anniversary (Feb 3)
At the US Army Chaplain Center and School, the four primary leadership labs are named after four extraordinary men; Alexander Goode, John Washington, Clark Poling and George Fox. We know these four men as the Four Chaplains of the USAT Dorchester and today marks the 68th anniversary of their heroic action aboard the Dorchester.
