Did you know our Holy Sanctuary originally cost $10.1 million to build? In 2023, we secured a $5 million loan at a 5.58% interest rate, resulting in a monthly mortgage payment of roughly $28,896. Thanks be to God, we have already reduced that principal to $3.6 million and received over $2.5 million in dedicated gifts for the Sanctuary's ongoing beautification. Even as we invest in our local home, we have extended our reach far beyond our parish. Since 2023, we have contributed $300,000 to support Metropolis and Archdiocesan ministries, alongside over $200,000 in budgeted support for retired clergy families, Orthodox Christian missionaries, and charitable organizations. This includes support for the Orthodox Christian Mission Center, long-term missionaries in Puerto Rico and Project Mexico, International Orthodox Christian Charities, Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, monastic communities both locally and abroad, the ministry of His Grace Bishop Neofitos of Kenya & Mount Nyeri and St. Anna Parish on Mount Kenya, and vital local charities. This outstanding outreach beautifully complements the extensive philanthropy of our Philoptochos Society.
